Porous asphalt is a type of asphalt pavement that uses uniform, larger aggregate than regular asphalt, which creates small, interconnected pathways through the asphalt pavement. Stormwater passes through the pavement surface and into stone sub-base where it is stored until it can infiltrate into the soil below.
